FAQs

How many sessions will I need?

Every person or couple is different. Determining the number of coaching sessions needed varies significantly based on individual goals, circumstances, and the depth of transformation desired. Typically, clients may find that a commitment of three to six sessions offers a solid foundation for exploring their challenges and aspirations. For more complex issues or sustained growth, a longer engagement may be beneficial.

How is sex coaching different than sex therapy?

Sex coaching and sex therapy are distinct approaches that cater to different needs within the realm of sexual well-being. Sex coaching focuses on personal empowerment, guiding individuals or couples to enhance their intimate relationships through education, communication strategies, and practical tools. Coaches assist clients in setting goals, navigating sexual challenges, and fostering confidence in their sexual expression.

In contrast, sex therapy delves deeper into psychological and emotional aspects, often addressing underlying issues such as trauma, anxiety, or relational dynamics that impact sexual functionality and intimacy. Therapists, typically licensed mental health professionals, employ therapeutic techniques to help clients understand and resolve these complexities.

Ultimately, while both paths aim to improve sexual health and relationships, sex coaching emphasizes actionable strategies for enhancement, whereas sex therapy seeks to heal and transform foundational issues.

What type of clients do you see?

For individual coaching sessions, my focus is mainly on female bodied clients. For couples, I see all genders. Designing Intimacy is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

No. Sex coaching maintains clear, professional boundaries between myself and my clients. It is always talk-only and fully clothed.
