Life Goes On

Yesterday I took a trip with my Mom to Ikea.  And oh what fun we had!

Going to Ikea is always an “experience.”  It’s not just shopping for furniture or plates or whatnot.  It’s browsing through the showroom and imagining what it’ll be like when you have enough money to buy real furniture for your place (that’s what I imagine at least).  It’s still CraigsList, garage sales, and hand-me-downs for the near future for me.  But that’s OK.  I like that I can still get a $2 cutting board from Ikea.

I put some pictures on my Tumblr of the furniture I got.  It was kinda fun putting it together all myself!

Now I’ll have to start setting up my new desk/work table.

Oh yeah, I moved to my new apartment.  And started school again (for the last time!!).  Apartment life is good.  I’m enjoying it.  My roommate and I are getting along well.  The commute to school is fine.  And there’s a kitty cat!  And she’s starting to cuddle with me more now that I’ve been here a whole week already!

I have yet to unpack.  I’ll get around to it.  I have plenty of time.  I want to start decorating my room a little though.  I just can’t decide on a color/theme.  Modern?  Contemporary?  French country?  Retro?  Asian?  I could do it all!  I really just need to decorate around my sheets.  Because they were pretty expensive sheets.  And I can’t afford new, good quality sheets.  (But I could get an awesome duvet cover from Ikea for only like $40!!  I love Ikea!)

The first week of school went off without a hitch as well.  4 studios and my math class.  I’m going to be busy, busy, busy this semester!  I found out one of my friends from last year is in my color class.  She’s fun and we have fun together.  Maybe she can teach me how to meet girls.  I want to start meeting girls.  You know, for dating and sex.  And I have ZERO clue how to do that.

Camp is next week and I’m excited about that (except for the weather forecast!).  My cabin is going to fucking rock!!  I’m bedding up with Desire; plus Match, Prince, and Hunter are in the cabin, and some cool new people I can’t wait to meet!

I have only 1 unofficial play date with Match for him to fuck my ass.  And I think Desire and I are doing a scene (have to check on the status of that).  I’m signed up for a non-bio cock gang bang of a gorgeous blonde!  And I’m an assistant of the petting zoo!  I’m hoping to have an awesome time with some awesome people.

I’m making a book about me (to make a long story short) for my graphic design class and Bah. Almost there. Just keep going.

Update on the Work

Alright- here’s an update:

Art history- still need to write the paper; going to ask my professor for an Inc to work on it once I finish these projects (No, I’d never take this many studios again!); study for exam next week

Photography- all finished printing, just need to trim photos and mount (hopefully should take about an hour); need to re-write a paper she handed back to me to do better on (grr!! Just give me the C!)

2D design- For my final project, there are 9 steps and I’ve finished 5 of them.  Will do 6 tonight probably, 7 tomorrow.  And then 8 and 9 by Thursday when they are ultimately due.

Painting- Did 4 paintings- 2 scenery, 2 abstract.  Oh well.  It’s good enough.

Adobe suite class- Still need to finish up the compositions and then edit them into a book.  By Saturday.  That’ll be my main focus this week.

I’m almost there, I’m almost there.  Dear fucking God.  I’m just so tired!!

My Next Week (2 actually) of Hell

Or why I shouldn’t be writing this post right now.

I took 4 studio art classes and and art history.

What the fuck was I thinking?

And I’m an idiot.  I let myself get behind.  I knew in the back of my head that it was going to pile up right about now.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Here’s the damage:

Art history- 1 paper that is a week late (as of tomorrow).  Going to buckle down and finally do that tonight.

2D design- oh, all of the 2nd half of the semester’s worth of work.  Basically just going to concentrate on the final project which I haven’t started (nor do I have all the supplies for)

Painting- Need at least 3 (preferably 4, though supposed to be 5) mostly done paintings.  Have one started from September.  Threw one together last night.

Adobe class- Way behind on project- need 3 compositions- all about me.  Easy, right?  I just fucking hate Illustrator.  I’ll just end up doing it in Photoshop.  But then I need to do a “book” with InDesign.

Photography- Where all my enegry has been put this semester.  One would think I’d be ahead of the game here, right?  Well, maybe if I weren’t so concerned with perfection here.  I spent 11pm-4am Saturday in the darkroom (well, including clean-up) and worked another 4ish hours yesterday and basically only got 2 prints (I also developed film), but after doing some editing with my friend, I decided to go in a slightly different direction, so even though I have other prints that I did, I won’t be using them.  And then others that I did I’m going to redo to crop a bit.  And just other shit.

So, yeah.  This is why I’m really not socalizing for the next 2 weeks.

As it is I think I’m going to dig into my stash of uppers which I’m hoping will send me into a manic state of creativity as has happened in the past.  (True story, once I took this medicine in a high-ish dose after missing it for a few days and I didn’t sleep for a day and spent about 18 hours in the ceramics studio without eating.  Yeah.  That’s what I need right now.)

So, if you see a post from me after this, yell at me, ok?  Until like, Dec 15th, really.

And I promise next semester I won’t do this again!  (But I only have 2 studios in the Spring at least.)
